A flood warning for Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone has been removed tonight (Friday).

The advice had been to take care in the area as some roads and footpaths may have been flooded.

Heavy rain today had prompted a warning to be issued this afternoon.

But a Gov.uk message now says: "This Flood Warning has been removed.

"River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold.

"There is no longer a threat of flooding, though standing water and debris may still remain.

"No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.

"We continue to monitor the situation."

The flood warning area had been for Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone including junction on Ashby Road and Snarrow's Road
