Fire crews pull woman from crashed vehicle after two-car collision in Coalville

A woman was pulled from her vehicle by emergency services after a two car collision in Coalville last night (Friday).

Two fire crews from Coalville were called to the incident at around 9.20pm following the incident in Broom Leys Road.

Leicestershire Police also attended the collision which saw one of the cars hit the central reservation.

Initial calls said the woman was trapped in her car.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue said: "Emergency call was received at 21.19

"There were two appliances from Coalville Fire Station.

"A call was received from Leicestershire Police reporting two cars were involved in a Road Traffic Collision, with one female trapped

"Upon arrival, the incident was confirmed as one vehicle into the central reservation, with one female trapped.

"She was was later confirmed as not trapped and assisted from vehicle by the Fire Service.

"She declined medical treatment and the vehicles made safe."
