Two workers at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Coalville are keeping it in the family ahead of a special weekend.

Cornelia Dita, who works at the Ellistown centre as an associate, is preparing to celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday with one of her colleagues - who is also her daughter.

Cornelia, who has worked at Amazon for five years, is one of dozens of mothers working at Amazon across the UK who work alongside their children.

Anca, who has been with Amazon full-time for the last two years, has worked alongside her mum every day in that time.

It is a close working relationship that the pair really enjoy.y approaches, the mother and daughter team have spoken about how their family bond ties them together both inside and outside work.

Cornelia works alongside her daughter Anca Dita, who is an associate at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Coalville.

"It's great fun working with my daughter, especially when I can hear her calling 'mum!' at me in the fulfilment centre when she needs something or has a question," explains Cornelia. "Working with my daughter is also beneficial because we are so synced together. It means we can communicate quickly and make sure we're helping each other to do our jobs to the best of our ability." Anca echoes her mum's thoughts when it comes to working together. She said: "Not only do we have a great laugh together, but I also think being mother and daughter gives us an even closer working relationship. "That means we can help our team in an even more friendly and efficient way." Cornelia and Anca work together to process packages for customers in Coalville and across the UK. But what is the one thing Cornelia always delivers for Anca? "Lifts to and from work," says Anca. "We joke that she's the family taxi driver and she's always taking me places. "I'd also say that my mum always delivers a good vibe, at home and at work. "She creates a really positive atmosphere and I love that about her." For any family members who work together, or are thinking about working together, Anca has some advice. She added: "It's always best to work with family members you get on with, because you're going to see a lot of them during the day, at home and at work!" she jokes. Cornelia said: "My advice would be to remember that it's work, and you should take your job seriously and be professional, while also taking the time to have a laugh together." A family feeling is something that encapsulates not just Cornelia and Anca, but the whole team at Amazon in Coalville.

Anca added: "The best thing about working at Amazon in Coalville is our team.

"It's such a great environment, where you can also make friends.

"We work together and socialise together, and it really is like one big family."

Finally, speaking ahead of Mother's Day, Anca reveals that the pair have already have a celebration of her mum this year.

She explained: "We celebrated Mother's Day earlier this month during International Women's Day.

"Mum was at work and when she came home, our family surprised her with flowers and gifts.

"I'll get her another gift on Mother's Day too – we really like to spoil her."

Amazon Coalville General Manager, Tracey Foster, added: "Cornelia is a much-loved member of our team at Amazon in Coalville and it's great that she gets to work alongside her daughter."
