A Whitwick woman was presented with a cheque for £10,000 from her local pub.

White Horse customer Emily Price was selected at random as the winner of a national competition funded by the Thwaites chain of pubs.

It was run during Euro 2024 and Emily collected her winnings last week.

To take part in the competition, you needed to be watching matches at a participating Thwaites pub.

At half-time during any of the European Championship games you could pick up a red card containing a unique code to enter online for a chance to win.

The more times you came along to watch a match, the more chances you had of winning.
