Police and fire services were called to a blaze in an unoccupied property in Coalville this afternoon (Friday).

Fire broke out at a house in Margaret Street and the road had to be closed temporarily.

Nobody was injured but an investigation is under way to find out the cause.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: "Fire service called us at 3.21pm. A Fire at an unoccupied address in Margaret Street, Coalville.

"The road was closed temporarily – and reopened at 4.15pm.

"No one injured. Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of the fire."
