North West Leicestershire are offering free car parking in Coalville every Saturday throughout December.

The council want to encourage residents to shop locally this month.

The move was announced on social media today (Thursday) and cones into effect from this weekend.

North West Leicestershire District Council's Facebook page reads: "We'll be making it that little bit easier to shop locally and finish your Christmas shopping by offering free parking in our Coalville and Ashby car parks every Saturday throughout December #SpendLocalNWL
