Coalville Library is on course to re-open in August.

But a booking system will be used with safety measures in place.

Leicestershire County Council says plans are in place to re-open the High Street library - and could be bought forwards.

A spokesperson for the County Council said: "We're working on a booking system to allow customers to pre-book their visit to our libraries and we're looking to re-open in August, should conditions permit.

"If we are able to bring this date forward, we will do so.

"Our priority is making sure our customers and staff feel completely safe returning to libraries and we are taking it slowly to ensure safety.

"However, it's important to note that, while some local authorities are re-opening libraries, this isn't all libraries within their area and some local authorities are also only offering click and collect at this time."
