Coalville's Long Lane Surgery says most of its over-80s patients will have been vaccinated by Monday.

And a message issued today (Friday) says the surgery will then be focusing on Over-75s and frontline workers.

But frontline workers are being asked not to call the surgery - which is being 'inundated' a present - but to email if they think they are eligible for Covid vaccination at the Measham Leisure Centre centre.

The Long Lane Surgery posted on its Facebook page: "The majority of our over 80s cohort have or will be vaccinated over the next 72hrs - excluding housebound patients (a plan is in place to start this group shortly), those unwell, in hospital or those unable to have the Pfzier vaccine.

"We have a few patients that we do not have a phone numbers for, but we have sent letters to those patients.

We are therefore moving to booking our frontline workers and over 75s cohort.

"Over 75s .... we will call you, PLEASE do not call the surgery.

"We are now able to start the vaccination process for Frontline workers.

"If you believe you are suitable to vaccinated as a frontline worker, we are now gathering your information ready to book an appointment.

"PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SURGERY AS PHONE LINES ARE BEING INUNDATED - we will not take this information by phone.

"Please email the surgery with the following details: The Surgery email address is: [email protected]

"Please put COVID VACCINATION FRONTLINE WORKER ...in the subject title for the email.

"Please state on the email:

  • your name
  • date of birth
  • email address
  • contact phone number
  • Job Role ie dentist, ward clerk.....
  • Company address and line manager, if confirmation of your role is required.

"LLS or the team at the Measham hub will contact you directly to book your appointment."
