Coalville's Long Lane Surgery has assured its patients they will not have to travel to Birmingham or Manchester for their Covid vaccination.
A number of North West Leicestershire-based people in the over-80s age group have been told their jabs will be given to them, but only if they attend the vaccination centre in Birmingham - a 45 minute drive away for some.
But Long Lane Surgery confirmed over the weekend that there will be a vaccination hub at Measham Leisure Centre and that they are in the process of contacting patients to arrange appointments.

The surgery has again stressed you must not call the surgery to ask about vaccination.
The post reads: "It appears NHS Covid vaccine letters have been sent to over 80s, which is causing some confusion, offering vaccinations in Manchester/Birmingham.
"The BBC have reported on the issue. Please be aware all registered patients of Long Lane Surgery will be offered a vaccine by appointment at Measham Leisure Centre as per Government guidelines regarding priority groups."
BBC News reported that Kay Hayward of Whitwick was among those to question why people from the district were being offered vaccinations miles away from home.
She said she went online to book an appointment for her 85-year-old husband Kenneth and was offered five different places including Widnes in Cheshire and Stevenage in Hertfordshire.
"I thought they must be joking... we talked about it and we thought it was actually safer to stay here and for him not not have it," she said.
"But we were worried if we turned this down, we'd be off the list.. the letter doesn't say anything about having the vaccines anywhere else locally."
