Coalville: One person injured after two vehicle collision in Thringstone

One person was left injured after freeing themselves from their vehicle following a collision in Thringstone this morning (Thursday).

The incident happened in Talbot Lane just after 8.30am.

Fire crews from Coalville and Castle Donington were called to the scene where initial reports said one person was trapped.

However, that person managed to get out and was treated by the emergency services.

Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service gave more details: "Call received to a two vehicle road traffic collision with one casualty trapped in vehicle.

"Upon arrival of crews, confirmed two vehicles. No persons trapped, one casualty had self extricated prior to the arrival of Fire Service.

"Fire crews are providing first aid to casualty. Police and Fire in attendance."
