Your new company

Hays Education are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistant to work with them on a long- and short-term basis across schools in Coalville. The schools we work with are dedicated schools who have young people at the centre of their ethos.

Your new role

In this challenging, but extremely rewarding role, you will work alongside pupils across KS1-KS2. There will be responsibilities within the classroom in supporting some pupils with additional needs amongst their peers with an aim to build positive, meaningful relationships with the students and to develop social integration. In addition, this Teaching Assistant role may offer the opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis for intervention programmes aimed to offer these pupil more targeted support.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this teaching assistant job opportunity, you must have experience working with children with challenging behaviour and must also be able to demonstrate an awareness of the key competencies that are expected to go along with working with children with SEN, as well as good knowledge of the national primary curriculum.
