Mechanical Fitter required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering and manufacturing business.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of highway machine technology? Do you have a background in fitting and assembly of components, systems and machines? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you!

As the mechanical fitter for a product group you will be responsible for the assembly of current and new products. You will represent the company and become an expert in the specific product group with a deep knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assembly line fitting
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Meet set targets whilst working on the production line
  • Safe and controlled movement of production parts

Experience required:

  • Experience of fitting hydraulics
  • Experience in mechanical fitting
  • Experience of building crushing equipment: Tracked plant
  • Proven engineering manufacturing experience
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Have a keen approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills
