Coalville gym donations for local foodbank amount to over 60 stones worth of items

Coalville gym MP Training delivered almost 66 stones in essential items to Coalville Foodbank during 2023.

The gym studio in Highfield Street has thanked its members for their generosity and received confirmation of the amount of food and toiletry goods that were donated last year.

A post on social media reads: "Today when dropping off our latest donations we received a a letter confirming the actual total amount of food/toiletry items our wonderful gym community had donated for the whole of 2023 - 418.8kg (65.95 stones)."

"This is just absolutely amazing and we are so grateful to our kind and generous members here at MP Personal Training."

Owners Mark and Sallyann Padgett added that their collection over Christmas last year produced 44.2kg's worth of items - that is almost seven stone.

The gym's post added: "Being fitter and healthier isn't just about exercise or lifting weights.

"It's about working as a team, showing kindness and compassion towards yourself and others.

"It's great for your mind and body!"
