Coalville firm wins order to restore iconic cast iron seafront structure on south coast

Coalville company Cast Iron Welding Services has announced that it will be working on the restoration of Brighton & Hove's Madeira Terrace.
Restoring the cast iron elements of the iconic structure will form part of a large and complex scheme.
CIWS is based in Samson Road, on the Hermitage Industrial Estate.
A CIWS spokesperson said: "We are proud to be a part of the restoration of such a significantly important historic site, which is thought to possibly be the longest continuous cast-iron structure in the world.

"No matter how big or small our projects are we are continually learning and improving our processes.
"As the Madeira Terrace project starts, the North Bridge Edinburgh project is coming to an end, and whilst this has been one of the largest projects our company has undertaken, it has proved just how far we have come, and this is all thanks to our team.
"Even when the goalposts keep moving, mainly as we serve different sectors, each coming with its specific challenges, we use our experience to adapt to the needs of the job.
"We will look forward to sharing progress over the next few months."
