Coalville Fire Crew Called Out To Copt Oak Collision Which Saw One Driver Taken To Hospital

One person was taken to hospital when an all electric car caught fire after a collision with another vehicle at Copt Oak.

Coalville fire crew were called out to the incident which happened yesterday (Thursday).

The roof of the Tesla car had to be removed and Coalville Fire tweeted there had been a 'safe conclusion'.

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident happened on Copt Oak Road.

"Two cars were involved and one occupant was taken to hospital.

"The vehicle was isolated and the roof completely removed."

Coalville Fire tweeted: "Putting our #Training into practice with this RTC yesterday, involving

@Tesla all electric vehicle.

"A safe conclusion to the incident.

"Best wishes to all involved for a speedy recovery."
