Coalville Fire Called Out To Three Overnight Blazes - Including A Car Set Alight

Coalville Fire Service was called out to three incidents overnight - including a car that was set alight.

The car fire was on Stamford Drive in Coalville with an emergency call received from residents shortly before 11.30 on Monday night.

Leicestershire Fire Service believes it was started deliberately and they were liaising with owner while waiting for the police to arrive.

One appliance from Coalville attended and reported 100 per cent damage to the interior of the Vauxhall car by fire and smoke, and 50 per cent to rear of vehicle.

A nearby vehicle has also suffered five per cent damage by heat.

The blaze was extinguished before damping down took place.

There were two other fires which Coalville Fire were also called out in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

In Bradgate Drive, a fire in the open was reported just after 12.15.

This involved one small trailer on fire in a front garden.

Just after that, another fire was reported in nearby Garendon Road.

The fire service believe this was also started deliberately.

They received a call to a fire outside a property where a large quantity of rubbish was burning in a front garden.

The Fire Service reported that the property is believed to disused and was not involved in the fire.
