Coalville Drama Group is recreating the famous TV show The Vicar of Dibley in a production next month.

The play is being staged between March 23-26 and the Group says: "Rehearsals for The Vicar of Dibley are well underway, hilariously funny you are definitely in for a treat.

"Get your tickets on line via our website or from Hermitage FM cafe."

For those who have never seem the much-loved series, the Group has posted a description on its website.

It says: "The 100-something vicar of the small English village of Dibley has passed on.

"A new vicar has been requested for a replacement.

"What they get is Geraldine Granger, a non-traditional, chocolate loving, rock n' roll playing vicar.

"That is not what gets the citizens of Dibley in an uproar though. It's because she is a woman.

"Still, that doesn't stop Geraldine from proving her worthiness to the village.

"After time, the villagers (with the exception of influential David Horton) accept Geraldine as The Vicar of Dibley."
