Coalville author publishes new book inspired by local writers forming group during lockdown

By The Editor 29th May 2022

A member of Coalville Writers has launched a new book this Spring - titled Rosy's Recycling Tea Shop.

The author, Rosemary Blake, found it difficult to write during the pandemic.

So she joined Coalville Writers to relieve the isolation caused by the lockdown.

The group bonded over Zoom links and they are even stronger now.

It is a group that meets regularly at the Bull's Head in Thringstone.

A review describes it as 'a hot chocolate of a book that warms you and leaves you feeling good.'

Here is a short synopsis of the book: "Rosy, jilted by her sweetheart, returns to the village of Sedgeborough in the Somerset Levels.

"Now she has to open their tea shop alone.

"Despite the support of her bridesmaid Tanya and friendly locals, Rosy struggles to survive in the face of sabotage.

"She is led by her emotions. Can she trust intelligent and mature Ken, who helps with her business or hot newcomer, Ethan, was in the right place at the right time.

"Does she manage to sort friends from enemies?"
