Coalville's CAN community group will be setting out their vision for the future of the town in a Zoom presentation on Monday night.
The Connecting Coalville Zoom Room will start at 7pm and tells the story of Coalville CAN so far.
You will be able to find out about plans to take on buildings and how they will generate people's profits to share locally.
Discover the activities and spaces planned in Coalville and Whitwick, meet the people involved and get involved as well.
The group are pushing for ownership of both the soon to be vacated Hermitage Leisure Centre and the Co-op building in Belvoir Road.
Coalville CAN has now also been given additional funding from the National Lottery.
Deana Wildgoose, a Connector at Coalville CAN, said: "Our plans are ambitious - and doable, but only with people coming together, collaborating and sharing.
"We are delighted that the Lottery is supporting Coalville CAN and look forward to sharing the plans and ambitions with the wider public.
"It's an exciting time, with lots of opportunities to work with others and do something special in Coalville and the wider area. And everyone can get involved.
"It's not going to be easy, but it's totally doable, Using empty buildings for the benefit of the community as opposed to boarding them up is a no-brainer and I encourage everyone to get behind CCAN and come and find out more.
"Everyone has a part to play."
"We are hosting an online event next Monday (January 17th) sharing the vision at 7pm.
"All are welcome. Link to register is HERE, please feel free to share with anyone you think might be interested."
The group also organises the Coalville Mega Walk on every third Sunday in the month - the latest one is today (Sunday) and starts at 1pm.
