Coalville CAN is hosting another Family Space and Science evening this Thursday (August 24).

The event follows the success of their link up with the the National Space Centre in Leicester, which saw the first event which took place in April.

That was when the Space Centre staged the Ignite Family Space Evening at the offices of Coalville CAN in Memorial Square.

Aimed at families and children, around 250 people turned up for the evening, where activities and film shows were organised.

This time, the activities start at 3pm and run until 7pm.

Some of the attractions will be windturbines, space cadet badges, rollercoaster building, rocket cars, beebots and space crafts.

The event is free thanks to Coalville CAN's partnership with STEM Ambassadors and the National Space Centre.

The group have posted a taster video of why, and how it all came about, all because of a seven year old boy, Mychylo from Coalville. You can view that clip above.
