The Victoria Bikers' Pub in Coalville has insisted rumours it is about to close are untrue.

In a post on social media, the Whitwick Road-based rock music venue addresses what it describes as the 'rumour mill'.

The Victoria hosts bands on a regular basis, with two shows planned for this weekend.

And it says there are events booked right through to next year.

But it felt the time was right to put the record straight.

The venue posted: "Hello you beautiful people, that rumour mill has raised its ugly head again this year.

"We would just like to say The Vic is not shutting its doors, nor do ever plan to.

"We have shows, festivals, all dayers and maybe even more TV shows booked right through to 2024.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, for your ongoing support, and welcome the increasing amount of new customers and friends coming through our doors."
