North West Leicestershire District Council is offering shoppers three opportunities to win local shopping vouchers - and all people need to do is vote for their favourite window displays and go on the hunt for elves.

Tinsel has been hung and windows have been dressed, it's time for the public to judge which window is best.

Voting for the best dressed window competition is now open.

Businesses across Coalville have been putting their decorating to the test with this year's Christmas display competition, so now it's time for shoppers to have their say on which should be crowned winner.

The coveted title of Best Dressed Window will be awarded to the shop with the most votes with nearly 30 businesses pitting it out to be crowned winner in the town centre.

Window displays will also be judged by NWLDC Chairman Councillor Ray Morris, who will present his winning shop with the Chairman's award.

Also, and new for 2023, shops and businesses have decorated shop windows with lighting displays to enter the Coalville illuminations competition.

Bright festive cheer has been spread along the High Street and in the town centre, so all shoppers need to do is vote for their favourite.

But shoppers and visitors admiring shop windows should also keep an eye out for elves in shops in Coalville.

To encourage people to explore the town centre, 38 cheeky elves have been placed around the town in this year's elf competition.

Find 10 elves and enter online for a chance to win local shopping vouchers.

Vote for this year's Best Dressed Window and Coalville illuminations displays and enter Where's the Elf? before Sunday, December 17, HERE.

Winners will be contacted after December 18.

Councillor Tony Gillard, Portfolio Holder for Business at NWLDC, said: "Shops and businesses in Coalville are always very imaginative with their festive window displays.

"We've added a new competition this year to help us light up the town, and our hidden elves make a great treasure hunt while you're seeing what our businesses have to offer.

"Every vote counts, so help us crown our competition winners by visiting Coalville, looking at the displays and voting for your favourites
