Coalville Community Action Group is staging a Celebrating Coalville day this Saturday (September 11).

High Street businesses are getting involved and dressing their windows with an Alice In Wonderland and nursery rhyme themes.

There is also a Mad Hatters Tea party being held at the side of the Engineers Arms.

Areialists will be at the clock tower while a magic show will also be happening (12-1pm) and Rachael Wileman on the saxophone.

All proceeds will go to Coalville Community Action Group to put back into the town centre.

The day also marks the opening of Coalville's new indoor market - Newmarket in Marlborough Square.

The fun gets under way from 10.30am with visitors urged to join in the theme of the day and come down in fancy dress.
