Books of condolence will still be open to the public at two Coalville venues
Coalville area residents can still pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at two venues over the next few days.
Mourning for the Queen continues through the week as the nation prepares for the state funeral on Monday.
There are books of condolence at these venues.
• North West Leicestershire District Council Offices, Coalville, 8am to 5pm, weekdays and on Tuesday 20 September from 8am to 5pm.
• Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre, Saturday 17 September, from 9am to 1pm
In line with the bank holiday for the state funeral on Monday 19 September, books will be unavailable, but residents can sign the online book HERE.
The books at the Council Offices will reopen on Tuesday 20 September for the last day of signing between 8am and 5pm.
All books of condolence across the district will then be sent to the Records Office along with others from Leicestershire.
Floral tributes can also be laid in the official garden of remembrance for the district, on the lawns outside of the Council Offices in Coalville. Cellophane should be removed from all tributes before placing them.
Additional books of condolence and floral tribute locations can be found across the district, click HERE for further details.
Councillor Russell Boam, Chairman of North West Leicestershire District Council, said: "The nation has joined together over the last week to mourn the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
"Pages of our books of condolence are already filled with many memories of the Queen and condolences for the Royal Family, but there is still time to reflect on her long service if you would like to."
