All books of condolence across the district will then be sent to the Records Office along with others from Leicestershire.

Councillor Russell Boam, Chairman of North West Leicestershire District Council, said: "The nation has joined together over the last week to mourn the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

"Pages of our books of condolence are already filled with many memories of the Queen and condolences for the Royal Family, but there is still time to reflect on her long service if you would like to."
