A Coalville shop unit is to be converted into flats.

North West Leicestershire District Council has given planning permission for the property at 68-70 Belvoir Road to be turned into two apartments.

The property has most recently been a tattoo parlour and a hairdressers.

An application for change of use, by Mr Suresh Advani from Leicester, was approved this week by the district council.

The existing ground floor retail unit will be a two-bedroom apartment and there will be a one-bedroom apartment, including single storey rear extensions
