There are long delays on the M1 northbound this morning after Junction 23 at Shepshed - with 'multiple collisions' reported by Highways England.

This is causing problems on the motorway for motorists joining the M1 at the Coalville junction.

Highways England urge you to drive with care if you are heading to this area and leave yourself enough time to get to your destination, especially if you are going to East Midlands Airport.
