North West Leicestershire Police are reminding 'a minority' of hairdressers, barbers and nail salons that they cannot re-open before April 12.
A message posted on the police Facebook page this week highlighted the fact that some were not sticking to the rules.
No businesses have been mentioned but a reminder has been issued to any who think they can welcome customers back before the designated date.
And police have asked people who know of any operating during lockdown to contact them with details.
The police message reads: "Hairdressers, Nail Salons and other Personal Care Premises.
"Can we just remind everyone that NO earlier than 12th April 2021 can personal care premises such as hairdressers and nail salons reopen.
"This date will be confirmed by the Government nearer the time.
The majority of these businesses are following the rules, but there are a minority that aren't.
If you know of someone that is still operating, please can you let us know, either by ringing us on 101, via Leicestershire Police website or contacting your local beat team.
"North West Leicestershire infection rates are still rising and we are now in the top 5 in the country!
"Let's please work together in order to help reduce the rates in North West Leicestershire.
"Remember:
- Stay at home, unless you have to go out for an essential reason
- Take extra care on public transport or in supermarkets by maintaining social distancing and wearing a face covering (unless medically exempt)
- Avoid car sharing, if you can, or take extra safety precautions."
