Coalville Fire Crew come to the rescue of dog trapped by barbed wire

Coalville fire crew freed a dog that had been caught up in barbed wire this morning (Wednesday).

A call was received just after 9am and the Coalville crew went to Oaktree Road where the animal was found in bushes and trapped by the wire.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Incident Type: Rescue of a small animal.

"Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles Attended: 1 x appliance from Coalville

"Time Incident Closed: 09:30

"Initial Information: Call received to a dog stuck in barbed wire in bushes.

"One Dog has been freed from bushes with and handed back to its owner.

"The dog did not suffer from any injuries during this incident."
