An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and qualified HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a market-leading team based in Shepshed. You ll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, and repair of HGVs, ensuring all work meets high safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / Mechanic / FitterCarry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGVsDiagnose and resolve faults using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSEComplete all compliance paperwork with accuracy and attention to detailPrepare vehicles for MOT and perform relevant safety checksMeet workshop performance and quality standardsAdhere to health and safety proceduresAttend ongoing training including IRTEC, BPW & SAF axle systems, and tail lift maintenance

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / Mechanic / FitterEssentialExperience in HGV maintenanceRecognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

DesirableHGV Class 1 licenceIRTEC accreditationExperience with EBS diagnostics (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)Welding certificationAxle manufacturer training (BPW, SAF, JOST)Tail lift maintenance experience
