T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Coalville for a Production Manager to join their team on a Permanent basis.

Production Manager Job Details & Benefits;

• £38 000.00 circa depending on experience

Production Manager Job Duties;

• To be the business lead on all matters concerning the production
• To manage the Departments Training Plans and to ensure all employees are multi skilled across the various Production activities, maintaining Competency Matrix, Individual training plans and Appraisals
• To actively lead the Production Team Leaders by means of coaching, mentoring and guidance
• To regularly liaise with other managers ensuring Production Schedules are delivered to the Production Lines to carry out the appropriate builds
• Maintain positive working relations with key stakeholders within the business
• Estimate costs and prepare budgets in line with Operational objectives
• Ensure production is carried out within the timeframes set to meet loading deadlines and ultimately the successful dispatch to the customers
• To ensure product quality is maintained in line with the businesses Quality Management systems
• In conjunction with the Production Team Leaders ensure adequate resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) are in place to meet daily targets
• To liaise with Stock control to ensure stock levels are sufficient to achieve build program
• Oversee regular stock checks, identifying potential shortfalls
• Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot builds
• To manage the Production teams time, attendance and bonus scheme
• To accurately collate the Departments statistical data for analysis and review
• Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of departments KPI s, providing regular reports for performance, safety and training outcomes to senior management
• In conjunction with the other operations mangers, oversee the cleanliness of the yard
• To Manage all Human Resource and Employee relations requirements of the Production department

Production Manager Person Specification;

• Previous management experience is essential
• Previous Experience in Managing a large team
• To be able to demonstrate coaching, mentoring and employee relations skills
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software. (SAP)
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
