Senior Planning Policy Officer

Senior Planning Policy Officer We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Planning Policy Officer to join our small but busy Planning Policy Team.

We have just consulted on a Regulation 18 Local Plan and are looking to submit this in summer 2025.

You will be involved in the preparation and monitoring of the Local Plan and will have the opportunity to work with our local communities in the preparation of Neighbourhood Plans and the monitoring of S106 Agreements.

We are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience in this role and is looking to expand their knowledge and experience further.

You must hold a town and country planning degree or equivalent and be a member or eligible for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to quickly build and maintain rapport and good relationships with a varying range of people - both internally and externally, be able to work to tight deadlines and be an ambassador for the Council.

• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £41,418 - £44,428 (including market supplement enhancement)
