Key Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and a love for learning.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, other teachers, and SENCO to provide comprehensive support.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers to provide regular updates on their child's progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working within a primary school setting (Secondary experience welcomed)
- A good understanding of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, and Speech and Language Disorders and how to plan appropriately for these needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
