North West Leicestershire District Council says Coalville's deep clean operation has been completed.

Our Coalville and Ashby Nub News sites both reported earlier this month that the two town centres would be cleaned as part of the relaxing of Covid rules - you can read that article HERE.

The council's photo here shows that Coalville town centre has been given a wash and brush up - and now it is Ashby's turn.

The district council posted on social media: "Our street cleaning contractor, Brooklands Group, has done a great job at deep cleaning the streets of Coalville.

"Can you spot the difference?

"The team will be moving onto Ashby-de-la-Zouch within the next couple of days to continue the deep cleaning programme.

"A reminder that cleaning will take place after 9pm to help keep disruption to a minimum.

"Thanks to the team for working their magic and to residents for your continued patience."
