Our client, based at East Midlands Airport, is seeking a dedicated Base Maintenance & Workshop Manager responsible for overseeing all maintenance at the Hangar. It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager to ensure the compliance with Part 145, the MOE, and the AOC approved Maintenance Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Certify and complete all work for contracted operators/customers per work specifications and approved MOE procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and standards during maintenance.
  • Detail work orders/contracts for internal workshops or external organizations and ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Provide feedback to the Quality System regarding services from contracted organizations, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Address quality deficiencies identified through independent quality audits.
  • Ensure the workforce maintains high-quality workmanship standards acceptable to the organization and the UK CAA.
  • Implement the safety policy and manage human factor issues at the base maintenance facility.
  • Ensure the availability of appropriate facilities, such as hangars, workshops, office accommodations, and stores for planned work.
  • Maintain a suitable working environment for the tasks being undertaken.
  • Oversee the incoming inspection, classification, segregation, and storage of components, parts, materials, tools, and equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
  • Develop a production planning system tailored to the maintenance scope's complexity and volume.
  • Ensure the availability of tools, equipment, and materials for planned tasks.
  • Secure sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect, and certify the work being performed.
  • Provide access to necessary maintenance data for all users.
  • Report any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous procedures, practices, information, or maintenance instructions via the occurrence reporting system.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • You must be a current or former Engineer with strong Part 145 experience to be considered
  • The ideal candidate will be an established Base Maintenance Manager or Supervisor / Senior / Team Leader looking to move up.
  • UK CAA Part 66 B1 or B2 license covering B737 NG, B737CL, ATR.
  • Knowledge of UK Part 145 regulations.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
