- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve organisational goals
- Identify potential clients and business opportunities through market research and networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth
- Utilise CRM software, to track leads, manage client interactions, and report on sales activities
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles, within UK / European Freight Freight
- Proven track record in European Freight Forwarding road freight sales and development
- Commercial understanding of logistic processes
- Strong understanding of CRM software, with proficiency in Salesforce being highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels
- Strong analytical skills, enabling the identification of market trends and business opportunities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
