Job Title: Residential Senior Support Worker
- Location: Leicestershire
- Salary: 28,000 + additonal pay for sleep ins
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- shift times: 8am to 10pm / 10am to 10pm / 10pm to 8.15am
- Age Range of Service users: 8 to 18 years old
- Hours: 37 hour per week (alternate weekends)
- Sleep ins: 1 per week

The Role:
As a Residential Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and development of the young people in our care. You will lead by example, providing high-quality care, guidance, and support to the children and working closely with the team to create a safe and positive environment. Your role will involve:
- Supervision & Leadership: Overseeing the day-to-day activities of support staff, ensuring best practices are followed and providing guidance and mentoring as needed.
- Care Planning: Developing, implementing, and reviewing personalized care plans, working closely with social workers, families, and other professionals to meet each child's individual needs.
- Support & Wellbeing: Building positive relationships with young people, helping them to develop life skills, manage their emotions, and achieve their goals.
- Safeguarding: Ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, and any concerns are reported and managed appropriately.
- Team Collaboration: Working with the management team to ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards, participating in inspections, and implementing any required improvements.
- Administration: Managing records, writing reports, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: experience working in a residential children's care setting, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and the needs of looked-after children.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
