Candidates must have the following criteria.

Skills/Knowledge required:

  • Knowledge of SHE, QA, Product knowledge and Technical awareness.
  • Knowledge of site specific SHE procedures and rules (including basic introduction of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures Manual) and Quarry Regulations 1999.
  • Knowledge of all relevant job-related rules contained within the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures manual (e.g. Section 25 - Managers Rules, Section 27 - Quarries Regulations 1999, Section 20 - Personal Protective Equipment, EMS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Quarry Production, plant and materials.
  • Understanding of customer requirements.
  • Effective communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of management accounting.
  • Ability to produce concise accurate reports.
  • Computer literate

Experience required:

  • Experience of a similar role or environment. At least 3 years supervisory or managerial experience in the Quarrying Industry is essential.

Qualifications required:

  • SHE QCF Level 4/6
  • IOSHH managing safely
  • HR awareness
  • Geotechnical level 3 or above

This will be a 6-month temporary contract with the option of full-time employment.
