The Latest Coronavirus Case Figures For North West Leicestershire

Another 51 coronavirus infections were reported on Saturday in North West Leicestershire - bringing the seven day total for the area to 390.

It now means North West Leicestershire's seven day infection rate - up to Friday evening - is 365.4 cases per 100,000 people, down on Friday's figure.

Another 542 coronavirus cases were confirmed across Leicester and the county.

The county accounted for 307 while in Leicester there were 235.

The increase is similar to those recorded throughout the week.

In Charnwood there were 77 new infections identified. North West Leicestershire's toll increased by 51.

Blaby added 54 cases to its cumulative total and Hinckley and Bosworth recorded 46 new cases.

In Oadby and Wigston there were 25 positive test results recorded and five in Melton.

At the end of last week, the total number of cases across the city and county since the start of the pandemic area by area were :

  • Leicester: 28,449
  • Blaby: 5,517
  • Charnwood: 9,688
  • Harborough: 3,924
  • Hinckley and Bosworth: 4,611
  • Melton: 2,047
  • North West Leicestershire: 4,354
  • Oadby and Wigston: 4,060

The latest seven-day infection rates, area by area, are:

  • Leicester: 567.4 cases per 100,000 (2,010 cases in the last seven days)
  • Blaby: 421.6 cases per 100,000 (428)
  • Charnwood: 328.2 cases per 100,000 (610)
  • Harborough: 310.2 cases per 100,000 (291)
  • Hinckley and Bosworth: 368.6 cases per 100,000 (417)
  • Melton: 246.1 cases per 100,000 (126)
  • North West Leicestershire: 376.4 cases per 100,000 (390)
  • Oadby and Wigston: 354.3 cases per 100,000 (202)
