North West Leicestershire District Council says that there are delays of up to three months for replacement recycling containers.

The Council has posted on social media that there could be a wait of 8-12 weeks for those who have requested them in the Coalville and Ibstock areas.

The post reads: "We're now experiencing delays of 8-12 weeks for deliveries of recycling containers whilst we prioritise recycling and waste collections.

"We will try our best to deliver your containers in this timeframe, but please bear with us if your delivery takes a little longer.

"This also applies if you are already waiting for a recycling container.

"We're working hard to clear any backlog and thank you for your patience."
