The Cardboard Coalville exhibition is on show at Snibston Colliery Park next week.

Organised by community group, Coalville CAN, the event provides a venue for half-term visits and features work by pupils from local primary schools.

Coalville CAN says: "Join us at the new Studio at Century Theatre where you can see the Mega Walk and all the places it includes, in one room, in cardboard!

"Workshops have been hosted in local schools to get the pupils thinking about what they might use empty buildings that are on the Mega Walk route for.

"Belvoirdale Primary years 6s have shared their ideas for the old Market, Woodstone Primary have made sculptures inspired by Coalville's place in the National Forest and Newbridge year 7s have started thinking about the soon to be empty Hermitage Leisure Centre.

"On October 22, between 11am-4pm, you can make your favourite Coalville building out of cardboard too. Come and join us.

"If your school or organisation would like to have a cardboard workshop please get in touch and we can visit with one of the buildings.

"Thanks to Historic England, Board 24 and the local council for their support."
